Why use Mind School Therapy?

I have worked with children in schools for over a decade. I want you to be able to ask me anything that you may be worrying about or causing you to feel overwhelmed and stressed. I will do my very best to help them and in turn you.

I can help with whatever you are observing that worries you, such as negative behaviours, anxiety, shut down, poor sleep, or a lack of motivation.

Children and I seem to share a common understanding. Your child will receive guidance and support from me by being reminded of their inherent strength and that they have the power to work the magic to bring about the change they desire.

My passion is giving your child the tools they need to discover their happy spot. It’s always inside of them, and if it gets misplaced, I can usually help them find it.

 

What will happen in the sessions?

My unique style combines the best in modern and holistic approaches, to quickly uncover the problems and issues that they are facing. I get to know each child in their own words, and quickly understand them as a person. From this I work on what the young person perceives as the current situation, and help them to decide what they would like as their preferred situation. I’ll advise both of you and them on the steps that must be taken to support their social, emotional, and mental health. To prevent them from recalling painful memories and re-traumatizing themselves, children are not required to go through their story.

£120 sessions typically last between 60-90 minutes

What to expect

1:1 child and Teenagers therapy provides a safe and nonjudgmental environment for children to express their feelings and emotions. During these therapy sessions, children and teenagers can expect a warm and inviting atmosphere in a friendly and relaxed environment. My goal is to build a positive relationship, so they feel comfortable and calm during their sessions.

Whether the therapy sessions take place in my home or at the family home, I always strive to create an environment that feels familiar and safe. I understand that they need to feel comfortable and relaxed in their surroundings to open up and share their thoughts and feelings. That’s why I often suggest that they choose the location of their therapy sessions.
